Lighting Experience

This isn’t your typical “set it and forget it” DJ lighting. This is fully programmed, high-performance lighting designed to move with your music—every beat, every drop, every moment.

While most DJs rely on basic auto patterns, my system is custom-programmed so the lighting reacts in real time to what you hear and feel. If the music gets your head nodding, the lighting is what gets you on the dance floor.

I run more and higher quality lighting—than virtually any mobile DJ at this price point. And it’s not just quantity. Its placement, programming, and execution.

Lights belong over the dance floor, not blasting randomly from a corner. This is what turns a party into an experience people talk about long after it ends.

Lighting That Moves With the Music

Not Just Lights — A Fully Programmed Experience

My lighting isn’t your typical “auto-mode DJ lights.”

  • ❌ Not repetitive

  • ❌ Not random

  • ❌ Not stuck in the same patterns all night

Every light is programmed to the music — every beat, every drop, every moment.

If the music has you nodding your head…the lights are what get you on the dance floor.

And most importantly, the lights are where they belong: over the dance floor.

Lighting Packages

Rules, Requirements & Setup Timing

To deliver this level of lighting, there are a few important requirements:

Lighting Packages

1. Indoor or Fully Covered Setup Only

  • Lighting systems must be indoors or fully protected under a walled tent.

    • Outdoor Exception (Case-by-Case):

    • I love outdoor shows—but lighting equipment and weather don’t mix.

  • The final decision is made on the day of the event based on conditions.

  • Any risk of rain means no lighting deployment.

  • Handling fees apply if lighting cannot be installed:

    • Package 2: $50

    • Package 3: $100

  • This helps protect over $10,000 in equipment—thank you for understanding.

2. Power Requirements

  • You’ll need a dedicated 20-amp power circuit.

  • Full details are outlined in your contract.

  • These systems require consistent, reliable power to perform correctly and safely. Barbaryan Entertainment is not responsible if there is no adequate power supply.

3. Setup & Breakdown Time

  • This is the most important (and most overlooked) factor.

  • These systems require physical setup (mounting, trussing, cabling), communication/data wiring (the lights “talk” to each other), and programming/testing.

  • This is not plug-and-play lighting.

  • Please make sure your timeline includes additional setup time before the guests arrive and sufficient breakdown time after the event.

  • If your venue has a strict “doors locked” policy, I can help you determine when music needs to end to allow proper teardown.

  • In most cases, venues allow extended breakdown time after guests leave. I will coordinate directly with your venue and planner to confirm.

Overhead Truss & Totem Options

Overhead Trussing

  • I offer up to 30 feet of sectional trussing, configured based on your event:

  • 10’ Truss: Standard setup over the DJ booth

  • 30’ Extended Truss: Expands lighting over the dance floor

  • U-Shaped Truss: Ideal for corporate or non-dance events

  • Whenever possible, trusses can be suspended from ceilings or tent structures for a cleaner look and more open floor space. This requires additional setup time but significantly enhances the visual impact.

  • Please account for the additional setup and breakdown time required for larger truss configurations.

Totems

  • Adjustable-height totems with black or white scrims (your choice).

  • Typically used for moving head lights or lasers.

  • Totems add depth, symmetry, and a more polished visual presentation to your setup.
